Chung Hon Dak Foundation was established in early 2003 with a donation from Dr. Chung and his family. The foundation is mandated to promote and enhance education, particularly the studies of innovative technologies that propel society forward. The foundation set up for other charitable purposes that are beneficial to the community. It sponsors and supports academic studies that facilitate education, study and academics in China and Hong Kong, and creates opportunities for innovation and technology exchange among professionals.
Compared with the last century, we are gratified by how powerful unified China is. However, if China wants to become ever stronger in the next century, we have to pay more attention to the importance of education.
Innovation or any type of progress for that matter cannot happen without change. This means that it is not only important to accept that change is a necessary part of creating anything new, but in fact must proactively drive it. The best way to drive change is to embrace it, not fear it.
Culture takes diverse forms across time and space. This diversity is embodied in the uniqueness and plurality of the identities of the groups and societies making up humankind. As a source of exchange , innovation and creativity, cultural diversity is as necessary for humandkind as biodiversity is for nature.
